Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of UniFlow Trans — the desktop app, the website, and the web dashboard. By signing up or downloading the app, you agree to them. Please read them.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, downloading the UniFlow Trans desktop application, or using any feature that requires sign-in, you enter into a binding agreement with Shanghai Logic Origin Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd (上海逻辑原点智能科技有限公司). If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use UniFlow Trans. If your jurisdiction requires a higher age for independent online contracts, that age applies to you.
- One person per account. You are responsible for keeping your password secret.
- You're responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at support@uniflowtrans.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
- Providing false information (e.g., a fake email) may result in suspension.
3. Credits, pricing, and billing
How credits work
UniFlow Trans sells one-time credit packs denominated in minutes of transcription (300, 1,000, or 3,000). Credits never expire. Unused minutes roll forward indefinitely. There is no monthly fee.
Metering
Each 60 seconds of recorded audio consumes one minute, rounded up at session end. Silence counts. Translation does not cost extra — it is bundled with the transcription minute. AI chat is free for the first 1,000 messages per month, then $0.01 per message.
Free credits
New accounts receive 30 minutes of transcription at sign-up, at no cost. These free minutes behave identically to purchased credits — they never expire.
Payments
All payments are processed by Creem. Prices are shown in USD and exclude taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your billing address.
Refunds
Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Partially used credit packs are refundable prorated on remaining balance, within 14 days. After 14 days, sales are final. To request a refund, email support@uniflowtrans.com with your order number.
Optional pay-as-you-go
If you enable pay-as-you-go in Settings, we'll charge your card $0.025 per minute used beyond your prepaid credits, billed monthly. You can disable this at any time, with no effect on your prepaid balance.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use UniFlow Trans to:
- Record any person without their consent, or in violation of local recording laws
- Record legally privileged conversations you're not entitled to (e.g., attorney-client meetings you're not part of)
- Transcribe content you don't have the right to transcribe (pirated audio, copyrighted works without a license)
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent a transcript as their verbatim speech when it isn't
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the desktop app, extract our API keys, or bypass rate limits
- Resell access to the service without a written reseller agreement
Violations may result in suspension or termination, credit forfeiture, and — for serious cases — referral to law enforcement.
5. Your content and intellectual property
You own what you record
The audio, transcripts, translations, and notes generated by your use of UniFlow Trans belong to you. We claim no ownership.
License to operate the service
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your transcripts (not audio) through our translation and AI chat functions, solely to provide the service you requested. This license terminates when you delete the content.
Our IP
The UniFlow Trans name, logo, and source code are our property. You may use the app as licensed; you may not copy the brand or redistribute the app binary.
6. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% uptime on the transcription pipeline. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance. Unplanned outages happen; we restore service as fast as we can and post status at status.uniflowtrans.com (external).
Because transcription requires Deepgram and Edge Functions to be reachable, your local app may be unable to start a new recording during an outage. Previously recorded sessions remain fully accessible on your Mac (playback, export, notes).
7. Disclaimers
UniFlow Trans is provided "as is." We make no guarantee of perfect transcription or translation accuracy. Speech recognition and machine translation are inherently imperfect, especially on heavy accents, overlapping speakers, and domain jargon. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it for anything important.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, nor that the service will meet every specific requirement you might have.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to UniFlow Trans is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost profits, lost data, missed meetings, misheard words causing business decisions, or similar. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; where they don't, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims by third parties arising from your misuse of the service — most commonly, claims from people you recorded without their consent. You're responsible for checking local recording laws before hitting record.
10. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time from /app/account or by emailing support@uniflowtrans.com. Your unused credits are refundable prorated for 14 days after termination.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, after notice unless the breach poses immediate risk. In that case, remaining credits are forfeited.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll email registered users at least 14 days before the change takes effect, unless the change is favorable to you or legally required immediately. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms will be submitted to the competent People's Court at the location of the company's registered office in Shanghai. Where required, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence still apply.
